Der Feine Herr : An Online Magazine by Bernhard Roetzel

As a co-founder and photographer, alongside Martin Smolka, I play an integral role in Der Feine Herr (Feineherr.de), the German-language online magazine established by renowned menswear author Bernhard Roetzel. The platform is dedicated to classic men's style, bespoke fashion, and high-quality accessories, catering to the discerning gentleman.

A significant part of our editorial contribution involves traveling extensively across Europe. Over the years, we have visited and documented up to a hundred bespoke craftsmen, specialized artisans, and unique stores in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and other key locations known for sartorial excellence.

My photography, featured prominently throughout the site alongside articles and interviews, aims to capture the essence of high-quality menswear and the artistry behind it – from bespoke tailoring and handmade shoes to fine hats and accessories. This visual storytelling provides readers with in-depth insights, practical advice (Ratgeber), and a deep appreciation for traditional European craftsmanship and the people preserving these skills. Der Feine Herr emphasizes authentic content and visual storytelling, making photography a central element, not just a supplement.
